Hallmark on the Lake Independent Living features a New Orleans streetscape, including hand painted murals and the Café du Monde. Hallmark on the Lake's independent lifestyle offers meals, housekeeping, shuttle services and activities enabling residents to continue living vibrant and independent lives.
Hallmark on the Park Assisted Living has a town square design, complete with an old fashioned general store and ice cream parlour. In addition to meals, housekeeping, shuttle services and activities, supportive services also include a Wellness program with 24 hour staff, which enables residents to continue to enjoy their independence.
Both communities border beautiful Fishtrap Creek Park, and are linked by winding, paved walking trails.
Hallmark's borders extend beyond BC as it seeks to integrate service into its community. For several years, Hallmark residents, staff, family and friends have travelled together to Guatemala to serve in an orphanage, AIDS Hospice, daycare, and seniors homes in Antigua. Hallmark is a founding member of BCSLA (British Columbia Seniors Living Association). BCSLA currently represents thousand of suites in the province, and was formed to represent the concerns of BC's seniors in a supportive housing model characterized by choice, dignity and respect.
Hallmark Communities Inc. is a privately-owned Abbotsford business. It’s retirement communities are the ground for ‘Conexions’ work, which has extended to include 8 years of annual service trips to Guatemala, an on-line computer support company, and Conexions retreats.
Empowered by a sustainable business model to do this work, each Hallmark venture stems from our consistent desire to build healthy and life-giving connections for and with people. We believe that healthy community – ‘conexions’ – can change the world for the better.
